François Véron

François Véron Founder & Managing Partner, Newfund Capital François Véron is the founder and Managing Partner of Newfund Capital, a French-American venture capital firm based in Paris and Palo Alto. Since 2008, Newfund has raised over €400 million, backed largely by entrepreneurs and family offices, and invested in early-stage companies including Aircall and Rwazi. In 2023, Newfund launched Heka, a €60M fund dedicated to BrainTech and the first of its kind in Europe. HEKA invests in startups addressing neurological and psychiatric conditions, from digital therapeutics to neuroimaging and AI-powered diagnostics, with every portfolio company clinically evaluated. Before founding Newfund, François worked at the French Ministry of Finance, at food retailer Casino Gorup and in private equity at Cita Gestion. He is a graduate of HEC and Sciences Po Paris and an alumni from ENA.
